About Us

Welcome to the Modern Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET), West Bengal’s premier institute for B.Tech & Diploma in the field of Engineering. Although we are proudly rooted in Bandel (just an hour’s drive from Kolkata), our community and impact are global.

Established in 2010, the institute is located amidst verdant abundance in a natural setting, away from the hustle and bustle of a city. From the very beginning, the core tenet of our educational philosophy has been the amalgamation of nature and knowledge. 

We stridently believe that an institute is not just there for a mere degree. It is a journey that leads to the complete progression of the human mind, enabling it to strive towards sustained excellence and address the global challenges of the future.     College buses with fixed schedules to accommodate the commuting needs of students to and from Bandel Station.

  • Library

    Immersed in technology, our classrooms enhance student learning and provide them with the necessary tools to acquire knowledge.

  • Laboratories

    State-of-the-art laboratories are the back bone of any Engineering college. Practical exposure brings real value to an engineering degree.        

  • Hostel

    Hostel accommodation includes both shared and single rooms for students furnished with a bed, study table, chair, and wardrobe. The hostel is provided with a mess or cafeteria where students can have their meals.

A student needs to be shaped for corporate requirements, behavioral patterns, and expectations. Modern Institute of Engineering & Technology is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The B. Tech courses are affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (popularly known as MAKAUT) since 2010 & the Diploma courses are affiliated to West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education And Skill Development (WBSCT&VE&SD) since 2014
