A specious and well equipped mechanical work shop is used by the students for their practical classes as per WBUT syllabus. In Carpentry and Fitting Shop students get the facilities to develop the basic skills associated with joinery and fitting operation. All necessary tools and accessories are available for the work. In the Welding and Sheet Metal Shop multiple sets of arc and gas welding facilities are available. In addition to that three Roll sheet Bending Machines and Shearing Machines are installed in the work shop for conducting sheet metal jobs, Tin-smithy jobs etc. The Machine shop is equipped with all general purpose metal cutting machines and tools like Lathe, Drilling Machine, Shaping Machine and Milling machine. The students acquire sound hands-on-experience by operating the machines themselves under strict supervision of the Teachers with long experience and practical knowledge.
