The departments of General Science in MIET are committed to ensure the attainment of strong foundation by the students in basic science subjects, which generally lagging amongst the Engineering students due to some inherent apathy. The Teachers consistently try their best to motivate and inspire them to acquire the required commandable knowledge in basic science subjects, so that these youth buds bloom with full efficiency and capability. The Basic science departments of MIET have been equipped with state-of- the- art laboratories - as per recommendation of WBUT and AICTE. The faculty members, in addition to their regular teaching work are actively and enthusiastically engaged in publishing research papers in various journals, presenting papers in conferences and updating their knowledge by attending conferences.
