The growth and prosperity of science and technology can never be interrupted under any situation of mundane affairs, be it world economy, natural calamity, war or any such. To carry forward the flag of science and technology, it essentially requires skilled, knowledgeable and focused Engineers and Technologists. As a matter of fact, such personalities can only be groomed in an educational institution having proper standard and facilities. With such a noble vision in heart, Badal Deb Memorial Educational Foundation has set up Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology in the year 2010, a Degree Engineering College, which is approved by All India Council of Technical education (AICTE), affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and recognized by Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. Presently the college runs 4-years integrated full-time B. Tech. undergraduate courses in: (1) Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), (2) Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), (3) Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (AEIE), (4) Civil Engineering (CE), (5) Electrical Engineering (EE) and (6) Mechanical Engineering (ME).

The single-minded aim of the founder-members was to create a benchmark institute of international standard and also to make every scholar from this institute a front-runner and noteworthy participant in the continuous global process called “Human Progress”. Actually, we want to build in our college “good Human beings” and “good Indian Citizens” first and then “good Engineers” obviously.

The college authority religiously strives to provide all sorts of learning facilities to cope up even with the world standard of education through state-of-the- art infrastructure within the campus. Our laboratories are equipped with the latest and the best machines, instruments and computers with Internet facility of high Bandwidth. Sprawling spaced Library along with Reading-room is crowned with plenty of books, journals, E-journals, which is also making a steady stride towards complete E- library system. The second to none Language Communication Lab in the college speaks for itself. Separate Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels, own transport facility, Play ground etc. are also worth mentioning features of the college.

Nobody can draw any demarcation for improvement and hence it is a continuous process in our college.

The overwhelming natural greenery ambience surrounding the college campus reminds the rich heritage of Indian disciples undertaking learning process in the hermitage .Truly, within a complete “Ragging- free Campus” all the students under the warmth affection and guidance of able, dedicated and qualified Professors, Technicians, Administrative personnel and above all a responsive and proactive management, always get best opportunity to develop themselves with strong ability and character to face any challenge in their future life and career.

All in our college nourish within their heart the philosophy of working hard ceaselessly and leaving its fruit in the hand of destiny.
